She has been employed at the College of Dental Medicine for over 17 years. Dr. Gaines received a BA degree in Chemistry from Hampton University. She received her DDS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. Dr. Gaines received an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She received a MS degree in Medical Education from Nova Southeastern University.
